hi before Xmas I ended up in hospital with pneumonia I don’t remember as I was so iLL and wasn’t conscious the doctor wanted to see my partner and told him that I had too much carbon monoxide in my body so I had a mask on with two tubes one taking the carbon monoxide out of my body and the other tube was putting oxygen in my body but the doctor told my partner that if I didn’t come round he would need to move me to high dependency and put me in a seduce coma but thankfully I did come round but since then I’ve been in and out in hospital due to my breathing but now I’ve been put on NUCALA injection every four weeks as I have severe eosinophilic asthma I would like to know if anyone else has severe eosinophilic asthma because to tell you the truth I’m scared because my breathing is terrible and my doctor said I had stridor I hope you can help me

has anyone else had breathing problems
About 5 yrs ago I was diagnosed with STRIDOR (more of a childhood illness).
They wanted to do surgery & I put it off for about a year - not believing it was necessary 🥴🙃
I also went to the PULMONOLOGIST to make sure it wasn’t ASTHMATIC RELATED.
I got so that any WALK, if a SLIGHT INCLINE, was leaving me “out of Breath”. When I was on the phone, I started noticing that I was “sucking” in AIR to get a sentence out ……
The Pulmonologist said my BREATHING inflow of AIR was more of a Square SHAPE - it definitely wasn’t Asthma related & he said to go back to “ENT DR” to discuss next step, SURGERY.
I did have LARNYX SURGERY & my LARNYX was 75% CLOSED OFF (STRIDOR) & the SURGEON said it was one of the WORSE CASES to OPEN the Larnyx back to normal - it took 2 Balloon expansion during the Surgery. IT is very RARE.
HUGE DIFFERENCE- I “could breathe” again and the STRIDOR hasn’t come back - which the Surgeon said was likely to happen 🥴.
Lupus / AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES do affect the LARNYX (joint).
