Help & Advice Needed

Good Afternoon All, Im just looking for some help & advice. I will be 3 years in august since my symptoms began and i still have no diagnosis. Flu like symptoms, Hair loss, weight gain, extreme fatigue, low mood and now since november time severe pain in my joints particularly my knees and wrists. I call them flare ups as these symptoms seem to come on around the time of my 'time of the month' and last for about 5-7 days. Most nights i feel like crying im in so much pain with the flu like symptoms. Doctors have run full blood work, STI checks and just told me i need to exercise more. I have asked to be referred to a Rheumatologist for testing to which they tell me they do not think it would be 'beneficial'.

Ive been fit and healthy my whole life and never over weight. These symptoms came on out of nowhere post an infection and have been with me ever since. I feel like an intruder inside my own body and im just looking for some advice or signposting to help me get a diagnosis so i can get some relief.

I have similar symptoms. They are calling it Polyarthritis and I am taking methotrexate and sulfasalazine. It has almost taken all the joint & bone pain away (80%). My Rheumatologist said he is treating the inflammation. All RA and other bloodwork is negative for arthritis, except the ANA titer. I also have chronic leukemia and it has the same symptoms. You may want to consult a Rheumatologist

Presumably the blood tests were for the lupus, RA and inflammation markers eg ESR? Wouldn't it be a queation of if these are elevated you shoukd be referred to a rheumatologist? Can you check the levels?
