I have lupus, newly diagnosed and still trying to work out what is lupus and not.

Hi, I keep getting spots around my mouth and sometimes with small what’s heads, and some are just red. I use my topical cream which takes it away for a Fred days and then returns as soon as I stop using it.

i have also been getting a lot more small boils. I have never suffered with spots or acne not even as a teenager.

my question is do you think this is lupus related? Or do you think it is something else? Just wondering about strep a?

It gets worse than this, this is it coming back.

it probably is, I just spots like boils sound my lower jaw, neck and top of my chest. They have reduced since being on Hydroxychloroquine.

Me too similar red bumps, sometimes itchy on face and neck. They get more itchy after a hot shower or bath. They come and go when they please. I use E45 every day which is generally pretty good. If it starts increase, get more inflamed and itchy and burning then I have a steroid cream (Elocon) which is prescribed to get it back under control. Just make sure its not any face creams, lipstick or make up that's causing it first. My skin is quite sensitive to make up additives. Some things that I have used ok for years can suddenly flare it up so I have to ditch them. E45 is mild but if you have a lanolin allergy it can itch and burn very quick, just to let you know. I'm on hydroxy too and can agree that the rashes are less since taking it.

hi. Yeah I use ELOCON but as soon as I stop using it it comes back. I use simple as I do find e45 to burn. Didn’t know it would be the lanolin. Thank you 😊

I did have a rash for nearly two years on my leg. I got a slightly stronger steroid cream for that and it cleared in two weeks (audovate). I have an antibiotic cream for rashes too which kill it before it comes up called trimovate but prescribed for down below rashes. Non lanolin moisturiser might be worth trying. My daughter goes bright red and burny in minutes with e45. All creams on prescription from dermatologist. Hopefully you've seen a dermatologist. I get these on repeat from gp now. Hope you find help soon.
