Withdrawal
Is it possible?👆🧐
The drug stays in your body for a long time, is difficult to metabolise, so does one actually “suffer” withdrawal symptoms or is it all mainly psychological?🧐
Surely HCQ is not addictive? Like documented addictive drugs?🧐
I never noticed withdrawal symptoms when I stopped taking it after several years.
I was sent for an in depth sight test by a rheumatologist as I'd never had one in all those years of taking the drug, fortunately all was ok there. Must be 3 or 4 years since they stopped it as lupus wasn't showing as positive, its been stable. I don't recall any withdrawal symptoms...
I had to stop taking HCQ for a few weeks because it was thought to have caused a rash.
Symptoms that had started to improve came back, then went again eventually when recommenced.
I logged it in a spreadsheet. Think everyone is so different. Maybe be difficult to tell because of multiple influencing factors eg whether it is summer or winter..
Yeah, I think to each their own.
I had to stop HCQ as it was worsening my seizures at the time, but had improved other symptoms that then returned a bit worse initially than normal, like a flare, which wasn't great, but it settled down and so did the seizures thankfully. I took some co codamol regularly to soften the blow haha.
