Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are offering people with chronic pain in Greenwich the opportunity to join a free virtual singing group beginning in September 2021.

Led by trained Singing for Health practitioner Natasha Lohan, this group is designed to help people living with chronic conditions to manage their pain whilst taking part in a fun and social activity in a friendly and supportive environment. A typical session will begin with a vocal and gentle physical warm-up before learning and singing some well-known songs and practicing mindfulness. This group is free for anyone suffering from chronic pain who lives in the Borough of Greenwich.

It's amazing that this has to take place virtually and is part of NHS treatment for pain, yet thousands of footie and sports fans can sing in a stadium. Sorry to sound like a bit of a grump.I'm sure it's better to be safe but the people who would benefit from this have probably been so isolated and would benefit even more from face to face singing.

Unfortunately I don't live near Greenwich otherwise I would give it a go. Best of luck to them.
