Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your access to rheumatology and the monitoring of tests? If 'yes', we would like to hear from you.

LUPUS UK is looking for case studies and quotes to include in the World Lupus Day 2021 press release for 10th May 2021.

Please send your feedback to chanpreet@lupusuk.org.uk.

Thank you very much!

Good morningI have been waiting for a rheumatologist, occupational therapist, physio, spinal unit, podiatry, coeliac test appointment for several months now. I was a patient at a particular hospital and my new GP has referred me to a local one, as he said it was nonsensical to travel for each appointment on an hours ferry journey when all these services are available on the Island.

I haven’t had any communication from any of the departments.

Very frustrating as one doesn’t really know what to do other than wait, I suspect a lot of people throughout the country are in the same position and like me, don’t like to pester our GP in the current climate.

I'm sorry to hear you've been waiting many months for your appointments but I am glad to read your new GP referred you to a local hospital.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Mollymaid. This is very helpful.

Best wishes,

Chanpreet
