Awaiting diagnosis

I went to the doctors following a range of different symptoms, bloods came back showing positive ANA. Got referred to a musculoskeletal Doctor, who did some tests and suspects Lupus, and has referred me for an MRI on my spine. Had some pains in my hand and various aches across my body, but no pain in my back. Any ideas why I might have been referred for an MRI on my spine as I did make it clear I had no back pain? I should have asked at the time but just didnt think as there was a lot to take in. Thanks.

Hi tubblecakes, might your doctor have been trying to rule out other autoimmune diseases like Ankylosing Spondylitis? There are so many similar AI diseases that seem close to Lupus, maybe he is suspicious and wants to rule out some? I had gone along for months with Lupus testing and then a new doctor was suspicious on Ankylosing Spondylitis and sent me for XRays. Just a suggestion. In any case, I wish you all the best.🙏I hope it ends up being nothing.
