Can’t tolerate the cold—is this a lupus thing?

I am the most cold-intolerant person I know. I despise winter and would much rather be in 90 degree weather than 40s even. I can be cold when others are hot. When I’m cold I shiver and tense my muscles so much that my muscles ache, so that being cold is painful, like torture! I turn purple (do think I have some Raynaud’s). I’ve tested for hypothyroidism repeatedly, but that’s not it. Could this be a lupus thing? Anyone else as cold-intolerant as I am?

I am like that I just can't stand it always gets me, unlike you though I cant stand the heat in summer and are photosensitive so end up stuck in house as even factor 50+ does not stop sun affecting me its got to the stage i hardly go out now because of it.

I have scleroderma with severe raynauds and hypothyroidism. I do get very cold but also menopausal so that I have hot flushes. I can't tell you how uncomfortable it is to have both!

I’m not there yet, but can imagine it would be hard to deal with those extremes!

Hi yes, I am completely the same, I soon feel the cold too. I really cannot function if I am cold, then when the weather gets warmer, I thaw.. ha ha!!

Not great when the weather is too hot either, I can't win😡jx
