Have you been given any explanation for it by your GP or Rheumy? Sounds like an allergic reaction to new hand cream, soap, washing up liquid or the like?? 🤷‍♀️ Don’t know what to suggest but I hope you get some answers and relief soon! 🤞🙏🏻.

Not the most common rash but it happens. Usually the bottom of your feet will be effected as well. The Skin cells on your palms and on the bottom of your feet are different than anywhere else on your body so there’s a particular name for this and I posted the national Institute of health in the USA article about it.

I use Flexitol for hands and Flexitol for heels. It is the best. It still comes back but this stuff works within hours. Otherwise my fingers split and bleed ! Try one tube and see, pharmacist recommended and he was right. Good luck

I get it too! Sometimes I would get a flare on the 'heel' of my left hand (only) that was exactly as you describe - it would work its way up my arm a little. Been on and off for 25 years. Usually once a year (yes, I was told at first it was allergy to seasons, soap etc) but I moved countries and it persisted. Then, it got longer between bouts. Now I haven't had one for about four years... I'm overdue! All I could do was use an anti-itch cream. Neosporin actually helped with the peeling - it seemed to speed up the recovery. Good luck!!!
