Chronic pain and Lupus.

I have decided to learn how to swim finally. This is something I have been planning to do for a long time. Since, I have been diagnosed with Lupus; I have been constant in pain. My rheumatologist has prescribed strong steroid medication. I'm still in pain. Hopefully, swimming will help with some of the pain am experiencing.

Hi good luck with the swimming. I have just been on holiday for 2 weeks and swam across our small pool and back . From that point on have had a sore back and knee. I ended up in bed for much of first week due to the intense pain on moving ! For me , maybe not a good idea. I would advise take it VERY gently to begin with. It is said to be good for your joints as no weight bearing effect when swimming.
