New to site.....Advice needed please

Hi Everyone, I am a newbie to this site even though i was diagnosed with SLE and Antiphoslipid syndrome back in 2002 after having 18 miscarriages and then a Pulmonary Embolism. I have been lucky since that I haven't really had a 'flare' but now I feel awful. Just had bloods done and I am low in Vit D so been given supplements and also inflammatory levels and White Blood Cells are high. I have to have repeat bloods in a couple of weeks. Been on hydroxychloroquine on and off over the years but been back on them for about 6 months and feel no relief. Every part of my body hurts and feels like I am on fire, my face looks like I have been sat in the sun (butterfly rash) I am constantly tired. Would you call this a flare and if so what can i do until it passes? (if it passes) Please can you help me?

Hi.

I have SLE and it sounds like a flare. I'd get a good lupus specialist appointment and ask about extra immunosupression for a while. A little bit of prednisolone and some other types of steroid sparing drugs might be in order ?
