In a previous post titled HINTS I suggested a few things that really helped me. At my worst I could barely walk 10 metres before I had to rest for a few minutes to get my breath back. My lung function was down to 25% . I am now significantly better. I'm not sure why. Medication or the supplements mentioned or the combination? I have a strong feeling PRO BIOTIC supplements in capsule form played a big part in my improvement. This along with my usual medication and the 5-2 diet and possibly some of the other supplements worked. I urge you to give the 5-2 diet and at least a PROBIOTIC Capsule every day. (Thanks Michael Mosley - love your 5-2 Diet and suggestions re probiotics). Consult your own doctor to check none of this will do you any harm to you before make changes to your regimen. Hello JOWE I was wondering what probiotic you've tried, are they expensive?

Hi Fab

I usually take an Australian brand Blackmores Probiotic (Non refrigerated). Either the 25 billion or the 50 billion( beneficial bac.) .Sometimes -rarely- I have a try with the refrigerated variety. Sometimes a glass of Kifir or Yakult just to get a bit of variety going. I once tried another brand with "100 Billion". Results were "Messy" and would not recommend them. May have just been just a bad batch though. For the 25b or 50b I usually pay around $30 at a "Chemist Warehouse" Pharmacy chain in Australia. Also eat lots of green vegetables especially cabbage and lettuce. Good Luck JOWE
