First appointment with a rheumatologist today !!!! A long road to victory but heading in the right direction

Yesterday I could barely move off my sofa due to extreme fatigue. Didn’t even want to answer the phone

Eventually at 5.15pm I answered and it was the hospital . An appointment was available today.

Today I am in full swing of my symptoms, my hands are covered in a rash and very stiff to move. I have the most ugliest of nose sores that’s visible for all to see, but what a great time to visit a specialist doctor. This doctor is amazing in helping me to reach a diagnosis.

I had more in depth bloods taken today, no time to wait due to full on visual symptoms.

I am now waiting to be referred to a specialist dermatologist rheumatologist clinic. I will have to wait til June, which is a long time but I think of it in a positive way, in the end I will get the answers I need to lead a normal (ish) life :-)

I originally see this doctor privately back in January as I was in a really bad way and no one was helping me. Now he is seeing me through the nhs. So 2 times he has seen my symptoms in full swing.

I was sent for a mental health assessment before as a different doctor thought I was making all these symptoms up. It’s good that I can present the physical side of what ever this may be

X
