I really have no idea so I did a little research and there does seem to be a connection (meaning, there does seem to be a strong belief that a bout of h. Pylori can lead to autoimmune diseases such as sle).

Treatment of h. Pylori is typically via a combo of antibiotics.

This is because h. Pylori is buried deep in the gut so eradicating it can be tricky. It can also become resistant to meds.

As far as SLE there are a variety of medications to treat the symptoms and reduce inflammation. Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) is very common.

There is no cure (yet) for sle but the disease can be effectively managed through treatment.

Have you seen a doctor?

Thank you for your reply I am on hydroixuchloroquine and azathiaprine for the sle, also levothyroxine for thyroid problems, I just really wanted to know if the hiatus hernia and the h pylori were autoimmune connected to sle

Interesting question. H. pylori is common even among people without lupus, but maybe taking immunosupressants makes us more vulnerable to infection?

The treatment is usually antibiotics plus an acid reducer (PPI or H2 blocker).
