Hello and welcome to our lovely forum. I'm glad you have found us. This site is a good place to start.

You haven't said anything about your symptoms or treatment plan, so my basic general advice is take it easy in these early days. Getting a diagnosis can be a very anxious time, or it can be a relief, or a mixture of both. Give yourself time to deal with it mentally and take some time out to rest etc. Stress is not good for us. So learn to manage your illness and reduce your stress, as much as life will allow!

Educate yourself and your loved ones about lupus. Unfortunately it is still a very misunderstood chronic illness and you need to be armed with as much knowledge as possible, to get the best from your doctors and treatment plan. So join Lupus UK and get their magazines. Take a look at their website for information. They have information leaflets on all sorts of aspects of lupus. They can also provide information on recognised lupus experts in your area and where the nearest Centre of Excellence is to your home. They also sell some good books. This is a reputable source of information, as Googling can be dangerous.

Comply with your medication too. Having a diagnosis and taking your medicaiton, can help prevent your lupus progressing and help control flares etc.

If you need any more specific advice, please just ask or post a new question.

Finally, this site has a search facility, so if you search for a symptom or drug for example, all relevant posts will come up. I have learnt a lot that way.

Best wishes and I hope your treatment helps you very soon.
