Lupus and methotrexate

I have been taken methotrexate jabs for over a year,the nausea horrible and feel its put weight on me,has anyone elses weight increased with mtx?,got my bloods taken they go away to london for a month and i will find out if im suitable for azathioprine,has anyone had good results with this drug? Hi Jeff. It's very much a trial and error matter I'm afraid. I've tried nearly all this family of drugs - stuck each (or combined therapies) out as long as I could bear to before finally having to quit each for severe reactions. I'm presently on Mycophenolate and have appeared to tolerate it well for six months but am getting increase in GI symptoms and not sure it's doing much for my symptoms to be honest. All you can do is be guided by your consultant and give it a try. Unfortunately it gave me pancreatitis after 3 weeks but this is a relatively rare complication.
