How long does predisolone insomnia last

I have been off steroid from 4 month still I am facing insomnia. startrd with high dose but tapered slowly..Prior to diagnosis I use to have nice 8 hours of sleep..don't know when will I feel back to normal sleep pattern..

Once you are at a low dose it should improve and certainly when you are off it you can't blame the pred for insomnia.

I wonder if you have just got into the habit of not sleeping? Or something else is going on. I assume you have tried all the "sleep hygiene" stuff? Dark room, no disturbances, no screen in the hour or so before bed, and so on.

One lady on pred has discovered that by taking her calcium supplement with a snack before bed she now sleeps like a log!

Hi Avantidave1988 like you I was on a very high dose of predisolone for a few months and once I reduced them I started to sleep a bit longer but for me to get my proper sleep again it took me a week or so. I wish you well and take good care of yourself. Jan101 🤗🤗xxx
