Hello Blondie

Yes, I was diagnosed with this quite a few years ago and had an apt with who my doctors said was the leading expert here in the US. A doctor Peter Cotton, somewhere in the Carolinas I believe. I can look him up if you are interested. But before I could keep the apt, they found other things they wanted to try first and I was lucky and all has calmed down for now.

It stays in the back of my mind I may one day again face this issue. I don't know what symptoms you have but this is not an easy diagnosis from what I was told.

Yes, I have RA, also Lupus and anti phospholipid, as well as vasculitis

As with many of these issues, we may never have an answer but please let me know anything you learn and how you are doing

Susan

No, you are not. Sometimes I have just gotten that knowledge from this site and it has been enough to allow me to either let an issue go and move on or understand that I have an issue to dig into. It has helped me choose my battles.

Knowing this can indeed be part of your autoimmune issue can perhaps give you that at least.

Good luck!

Yes I was diagnosed about 9 years ago. Found a gastroenterologist to do ERCP and it caused me to have pancreatitis. I was in the hospital for about 3 weeks and almost died. I still to this day have pancreas problems. But all that said I would not have been able to wait on the treatment because the pain from the sphincter of oddi was sending me to the emergency room. I was all most passing out from the pain and it would have only gotten worse in my case.
