The Sun (rather dramatically) says:

"The condition, which involved anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs), causes the immune system to attack the body rather than protect it.

Left untreated the condition can “eat away” at the lungs, kidneys, and other parts of the body."

and goes on to discuss vasculitis. At the bottom they refer people to VasculitisUK.

The DM (that well known medical journal) says she was having trouble with her nose, had required surgery and that was troubling her.

So at a guess it was Wegeners or Churg-Strauss syndrome (sorry, get confused by the new names: GPA or EGPA, is that right?)

Think the issues with her nose is to do with the Coke she snorted up it!

Part of the joys of playing around with substances is many illnesses!

It's sad really about her as the media used her she tried to be the girl all the time instead of living her life as the real person

As she got older she became a better person but by then too late the damage is done to the body

but hopefully others will learn from this?

I was being kind. ;-) Maybe it was a combination.

Hope springs eternal...

"...So at a guess it was Wegeners or Churg-Strauss syndrome..."

A programme that I have NEVER seen! Is that what the great man says?

Seriously?

Yes, it makes me laugh because the patient is guaranteed to always have something either environmental, biological or autoimmune! The amounts of times there's been a critically ill patient and the team are querying lupus as a possible cause, or Wegeners... It helped my family take my illness a bit more Seriously!

If only he were real....

The story is based on real life doctors.

Really interesting!

Just reminded me reading those, it's either environmental, a *parasite*, auto immune... 😁
