Does being on 500mg naproxen twice a day reduce your esr or crp levels?

It can do yes. Naproxen is a NonSteroidal AntiInflammatory Drug (NSAID) and can reduce the ESR a fair bit - but it seems to have no effect on CRP.

That was the result of a study in patients with a vasculitis called giant cell arteritis.

I think most NSAIDs will reduce the ESR (so do statins):

but the CRP is a bit different:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/228...

where they found they didn't do anything overall - but naproxen reduces the level and one of the cox-2 inhibitors RAISES it (is that how the heart effect is modulated?)
