Shingles.....

I have shingles for the 5th time, very mild but painful enough on my ankle again, last week had severe headache, slight temp, sore throat and bad tummy. Over past 15 years I've had it under breast/side and round throat twice.....

Is it common to have recurring shingles with lupus?

Photo is after a week, less itchy now

Not sure but I lived continually with it. It was so severe I couldn't walk & spent most of my time in bed. I took the full amount valacyclovir everyday but still didn't get rid of it . Even went in hospital & had 2 weeks of it intravenous. After doing deeper tests on me they found my immunoglobulin levels were too low. I've been on subcutaneous immunoglobulin now for ten years. As soon as I started it all subsided also it helped the really bad urine infections I was having.
