As i have a strong history of macular degeneration i have been advised to stop hydroxychloroquine and try Mycophenolate . Anybody else use it and do the side effects balance out with improvement in condition? Xx

I've been on mycophenolate for 2.5 years. Other than some muscle twitching and hip dull ache, I don't have any mycophenolate side effects. Comparing to hydroxyl that caused skin rashes and brown spots, palpitations and white hair, I prefer myco. As for the improvement - hydroxy helped my fatigue but myco helped the rest of my symptoms, so for me myco trumps hydroxy in a straight fight. And why risk your vision...
