Are you saying that eating almonds will help the problem of soft nails? How many and how often? I am on Tamazepam at night, to help me sleep, and a fairly high dose of Gabbapentin, which is an anti-epileptic drug but also deals with neuropathic pain. Both the inside and outside ankle of my right foot have ulcerated on the scars left from an old ankle fracture and the resultant nerve pain is unbelievable. Until they find the cause of these seemingly unresponsive ulcers (I am now awaiting rheumatology test results) by which they can, hopefully, effect a cure, I would appear to be stuck with them and the accompanying pain. So, Gabbapentin is the ONLY pain killer that has any effect and I suspect it is that which is causing my finger nails to be so soft that they are constantly tearing however short they are.

If almonds will do the job, then almonds I will try. Jos.

I have very painful nails and the nail in my index finger is now attaching to my skin. I ve raynauds on my finger tips which are very painful so i also ve to keep my nails low t avoid poking myself. I always ve some sort of ulcer in a finger when one goes another one starts forming in another. After d last one i thought i was safe , then i accidentaĺly cut my finger with a knife while i was trying to cut an orange 4 my son. My mum applied tcb on it 4 a couple of day . So i thought i wld be fine but now i am on antibiotics cos i got an infection on d finger. So if almond can help i will try it.
