Lung hurting

My lungs have been hurting for a while now and I have not smoked ever and I've been getting these pain in my legs and the sharp pain is getting worse also I have developed a cough and it really hurts when a take a deep breath. What could I have. Thankyou.

It could be anything, best thing to do is go and get checked out by the doctor. Hope you feel better soon x

I agree, book it today, you need an appointment as soon as possible. If it gets worse if it were me I would go to A&E

Hi noxemberr, sounds like you are having a very bad flare up, i think all lupus sufferers get these and can be very upsetting. i think the best advice is to go see your doc im sure he will send you to someone who can help you dont leave it as things could get worse, i suffer almost everything that you have described and last october i had a heart attack through blood clotting so please go and get some help,.wishing you well let. us know how you go on

Hi Noxemberr,

I'm no expert but it sounds as if it might be a DVT or PE as you are describing exactly the symptons that i had and i have had two PEs and likewise DVTs so i would urge you to go and see your GP as soon as poosible. They will test your blood gases and you might have a scan with dye. I certainly would not leave it. I hope all goes well for you.

That is one of my main problems with lupus. The doc said it was pleurisy. It doesn't happen all the time any more, I've been told to up prednisone by 10mg.. . Please check with your doctor first, before making any changes to your medications.
