Maybe applying to lupus with rheumatoid or all lupus in general.

I diagnosis lupus just a year ago, I still learning about it. Please spell them out as some of the illness I'd never experience before. Thanks X

Fevers (of any degree) are a symptom of lupus, you need to keep on eye on yours and take paracetamol or whatever medication you can tolerate to lower them as they can otherwise eventually affect the heart. Avoid aggressive exercise or strenuous household chores during periods you feel unwell or are running a temperature as overheating the body is likely to trigger a flare. I hope that helps Kim x

Kim, absolutely agree with Tigerlily, I never do any sort of exercise when having spikes in temperature, it makes me very ill to the point of collapse. I also make sure I never wear tight clothing, and always stick to cottons, which seem more able to 'breathe', and the best tip that works for me, feet into slightly chilled water (foot spa even better) and plenty of filtered water and paracetamol.

Unfortunately most of my spikes occur at night, what my Rheumatologist calls nocturnal shivers, and that is a very good description, I can be shivering one moment, and boiling hot the next.

I have found that environmental factors seem to trigger my temperature spikes, and also changes in medication, i.e. from brand to generic, had a real problem recently with being prescribed generic Cellcept, I was feverish within 2 hours. Humid weather, for me at the moment, is giving me real problems too.

Hope this helps.

I had terrible hot, elevating body temps going on constantly day and night. I would wake up drenching...since I started digestive and natto k enzymes, and changed my diet to exclude dairy and eat a more Mediterranean diet, my sweats have decreased immensely. I don't know why, but I am so, so, grateful. I wasn't sleeping well , and it was torturous how hot I would get. I don't work, and try to keep my stress low. I believe that and my emotions make me hot sometimes. Like when my daughter won't get up for school and I don't know what to do. I also exercise daily. I noticed I start to get hot after I move sometimes. Like vacuuming...Hope this helps.

Hi Tigerlily, LupusKaren & Natura,

Thanks so much for your advices, I read one that lupus feeling up one day and down other day, I feel better in the morning, I would go to work and start with bigger project in the morning because I know I may not able to get it done in the afternoon when my body already tired, I also drink much water in the morning because I didn't drink at night while I sleep. Vitamins, medications also take early of the day with foods, so they have time for digesting and give body the energy. I also breathing many times through out the day, special when I feel hot, stress and fatigue, cuz my body tells me something. I do some easy and slow exercise when I got up because I gradually gain weight during lupud condition. Like Natura, I eat more vegetables and stay away from spices, hot or fried foods. I haven't use the foot spa, but LupusKaren, I'll try it.

I found that if my family doesn't do the right things, my temperature went up even a little thing. I let my son know the day he's good at school is the day I feel better with ny conditions and that I care for him even though I do not want him to worry about me, but just like a message to let him know that how much I appreciated. But it always easier to say than do it.

Good luck my Ladies XX
