Water retention

I recently had a massage and I was told that I had a lot of water retention and when I went to my gp I was simply told that it is part of having Lupus (Helpful)

Dose anyone have any tips?

That is wierd I literally just logged on to ask the same question. I find in the mornings that my hands, face and feet are quite puffy and I weigh heavier than I do later in the day. I would also like some tips on managing it because it doesn't feel or look good.

I saw the rheumatologist nurses today and neither one of them knew why this was happening I have an appointment with the rheumatologist in a couple weeks so I am going to ask him.

I have the same problem. I asked the doctor for some water tablets and she said you can't have them because of the type of medication you take. I think it's because it can cause problems with the kidneys.
