Finally after 2 years received my diagnosis - inflammatory arthritis, fribomyalgia and raynauds.

I can now send copies of this to the dla and my local council for the blue badge.

I have been waiting for this, to prove that it wasn't all in my head, now let battle commence in keeping it at bay and in remission, my poor Mum had rheumatoid arthritis and was soooo poorly I watched her suffer terribly, sadly she is no longer with us but I know she is relishing in my excitement at knowing I was right all along.

xx

You may well find you have a dramatic improvement in your symptoms once they get you on some meds. Good luck snd here is to an improved quality of life x

Its a relief to get a diagnosis, I spent many years thinking I was a hypochondriac (I think others thought that too!)... Was such a relief to say to people hey.. this is what has been wrong with me all along.. go Google it! and wait for their responses! I hope that you feel better once they get you on meds.

Very sorry to hear about your Mum, we lost my Grandmother to complications from RA, my Dad has Psoriatic Arthritis and a myriad of other issues which he is fighting all the way.. and me, well I guess I was doomed by my genes lol :)

Look after yourself and stay strong

I found that having a name for my condition was a huge relief. And so much easier than fudging an explanation to anyone for why I wasnt able to do otherwise simple tasks.

So pleased Beckyboo that you have a diagnosis. Hopefully you will see some improvement if they get you on the right meds......things can improve with meds (though never the same just different). It's a relief to know it is not just in your head. I think the diagnosis goes some way to acceptance and I it helps you too xx
