I caught a bug the week before the 21/09/2013, a week later I felt better and went out riding, it was a nice calm and sunny morning, going on my usual 12 miles feeling good, but 2 miles from home I had a blur in my eyes, I stopped in a village after clearing I started off again, 1/2 mile down the road it came back, the next thing I came round in a ambulance, I had blacked out in front of a car behind me which hit me, the mirror flipped me over the bonnet, the only damage was a hole at the rear of my helmet. My advice is even if you do feel ok give it an extra week before you do any extra work. Be safe.

It's good advice. I have not been on my bike for over two months now and I really want to but don't feel I have the energy yet. When I do it will be a gentle ride - nice and easy and I always always wear a helmet.

So glad you are okay after what could have been much worse. Thank goodness you were wearing a helmet, and something others should bear in mind.

Take care.
