Is Lupus Nephritis fatal?

My younger sisters coach was diagnosed just a few days ago and my family is very worried about her. Shes 20. Her syptoms which made her get checked quick was she was vomitting profusely and judt overall wasnt feeling good

I can understand how frightening lupus nephritis sounds and it can be serious. However, there has been a great deal of progress in the last 20-30 years, both in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
