Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation are updating our booklets as we do regularly to ensure they keep up with changes in treatment. We are looking at our materials on bone metastases and brain metases in the next couple of months.
If you have experience of living with either of these, or caring for someone affected, we would like to hear from you. You can help us by:
- telling us about the information you have found useful and what things you would have liked to know more about
- reviewing our information and giving feedback
- giving us some quotes that we can share as handy hints and tips for people
- sharing pictures to feature in the booklets showing life with brain or bone mets.
If you would like to get involved please contact us by emailing info@roycastle.org or calling us on 0333 323 7200 option 2
thanks

Hi Lorraine I was diagnosed with brain mets very early indeed the night before my lung biopsy I lost my soeech - 999 calll assuming stroke only to be informed, in rather harrowing circumstances in ED that I had 2 brain tumours. That was 6 years ago next month. I do still have ongoing issues re this and treatment related brain damage. Way back when I used to speak to Jess I did review some of your booklets - believe it was Graham Henderson who used to send me them? Confess due to my mental health I have tended to isolate myself in this last year but try to respond to posts where I can give positive examples . Speech is one of my ongoing issues - whic I think has taken away my self confidence but if I can help I will do my best.
I have emailed you and telephoned expressing my wish to help with this request and the awareness month. I haven’t received a response but I have experience which I think would help with both living with lung cancer and brain metastases, as well as reviewing documents. If this would be of any benefit to the foundation and others who are facing similar challenges please do get in touch.
I will be in touch regarding the booklets. My colleague Rachel is working through awareness month contacts just now and I will confirm your willingness to help.
