Gone But Not Forgotten

My Darling wife Tina was diagnosed with S.C.L.C back in March 2019. She was told that with no treatment she wouldn't live above 2 months but with treatment 12 months. Sadly on the 18th December 2019 she lost her fight against this awful disease that is plaguing our world. I would like to Thank all the Admin staff and Members of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation for their support throughout this past 9 months. You are all Brilliant. God Bless You All XX

So very sorry for your loss and your pain. This picture of her shows so much personality and life.

I send prayers for healing. May you find comfort in the company of family and loved ones and peace in memories of better days.

Denzie Hi, That photo was taken at my Stepsons wedding in July. She was determined to get there. We had her Make-up done for her and got her a wig. She loved it being away from treatment and kicking her heels up.

Thank You for your kind words.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my sister around this time of year to cancer she was only 44. It does get easier but one never forgets. I get comfort knowing that she is in no pain and is in a better place with other loved ones.

Babydolltina profile image
Babydolltina in reply to Molly456mandy

Molly456mandy, Thank You for your words. That is one bit of comfort I have, is that she is no longer suffering. Her final hours were horrendous due to the pain, as the Morphine wasn't touching it. It was nearly 12 hours before she finally settled down and then she was only free for 7 hours before we all said goodbye. The G.P. was a B***ARD!

God Bless

Dear John

Sorry to hear of your experience at the end with your wife and how distressing this must have been for everyone. It is a comfort to know that all suffering has ended for her, but difficult for you being left with all the emotions that come with this.

I’m so sorry to read this and for your loss. Having read that Tina had responded so well to her treatment, I was hopeful you’d have more time. I’m so sorry for your loss. God bless you xxxx

Babydolltina in reply to Emkins

Emkins. Thank You for your reply. The only downfall with my Tina's treatment was the radiotherapy. In my opinion it was too soon after the chemo. It exploded it around her body. I am thankful that she is no longer in pain and suffering as bad as the last week of her life.

God Bless You All & Be Strong!

Hi Swimdown. Thank You for your kind message. The photo was taken in July just before Tina's last Chemo. She was ill there but we had a Make-up artist to do her make-up and she is wearing a wig. She was a Beautiful Lady.

God Bless

John, I just wanted to say, being a newcomer to the group , I don't wish to intrude on the support and comfort you are getting from all your friends here, but I couldn't let the post go without making a comment, and that is to say how deeply sorry I am about your wife. May you be surrounded by all that is kind, all that is nourishing and most of all , the love of friends and family .

Evelyn, Thank You so much for your kind words. I am now facing a Large staircase to climb but I'm taking it One step at a time. My Wife was promised a Dignified and Peaceful death by several organisations, but sadly never got it. Thanks to the G.P. but we are going to give her one heck of a Beano for her final journey. God Bless You Tina. We will do you proud.

Thanks again Evelyn

Hi Deraldal, Thank You for your message. You didn't need to thank me for the advice. We all give what we can and if it helps that is thanks enough. Please could you do one thing for me? Tell your Mom how much you Love her every chance you get.

Tina has been gone 8 weeks tomorrow and already it feels like 8 months. I find each day hard but I have to get through it.

Be strong Deraldal because this disease is AWFUL!

God Bless to your Mum and Yourself.
