Can anyone recommend a travel insurance provider which offers sensible premiums for travel to Europe only

Travel insurance
Hi I used insurewith they were really good. Both myself and my husband have cancer and it worked out cheaper than the insurance we had pre cancer. It's much easier to call them rather than do online though.
Agree with Justbreathe67. InsuranceWith proved to be a sound choice for my husband and me, both cancer patients, for annual Europe cover.
Online was very straightforward, they ask a lot of in depth questions but are then able to properly assess the risk and offer a helpful competitive premium. As opposed to adding the 00’s at the mention of cancer. Or refusing to insure us, as the Nationwide Flexaccount insurance did. Happy Travels!
Hello Unitedfan,
We have a booklet Traveling with Lung Cancer, it has good general information when traveling and includes a list of insurance providers, this link will take you directly to it our travel booklet, the list of insurance providers on pages 32-36 roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...
Insurewith are one of the providers included, it is always worth comparing with a few others to get the best quote. . Hoping you have a wonderful and safe trip abroad.

It depends on your destination, type of travel as well as your condition and age. I didn't travel for 5 years after my diagnosis, finding cover too expensive but when I did, I found wide fluctuations between insurers dependent on these factors.
Some have different questions too -
I have travelled extensively to Europe (Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Italy, Sicily, Jersey, Slovenia - mix of work/leisure) and wider world (Bali, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia all leisure) and found that even where an insurer was competitive for one destination, they were less so. for another.
Spain is one of the most expensive countries to insure for in Europe as they usually send tourists to private hospitals for everything for example. Cruise holidays tend to be more expensive as patients would have to be airlifted off for an emergency for example. I use price comparison sites like payingtoomuch.com and medical travel compared and have used different companies including insure & go, Allianz, Saga, Cover Cloud, and others.
As others have suggested, some of the specialist cancer insurers like insurance with and insurecancer.com calculate cover over the phone on an individual basis rather than relying on a computer algorithm.
Saga changed their question some years ago from 'have you ever had a cancer diagnosis?' to 'in the last 5 years have you had a cancer diagnosis?' When I queried this with them, they said their brokers said for their target market, they'd been advised it was no more of a risk after 5 years than other conditions that age of the population might have.
I have had to have individual policies for every trip even if only a few days until 2019 when Saga offered me an annual policy which I took up but the pandemic hit - only having used it for a 3 day conference in Dublin and 3 days in Belgium.
hope you find somewhere able to help you.
