Hi all, went to clinic today and as I suspected, my adenoid cystic carcinoma has metastersised to my lungs. I am told I am being refered to the head & neck cancer in Liverpool where I sent 21yrs ago! Still no idea of treatment until I go for my appointment whenever that may be! Frustrating 3 months on and no treatment yet

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis and the wait you have to see the specialist. This comes under metastatic salivary gland cancer in the lungs rather than lung cancer, and treatment may be surgery or radiotherapy, or combination of both, which all will be discussed at the multi disciplinary team meeting with the head and neck specialists.

Thank you for reply, very promising life stories on there, although may not be available on NHS we shall see. Now that Christmas is over I can't hide behind it any more and reality has kicked in. So scared of what lies ahead.
