Side effects
Hi Ceibach Sorry to hear this. Is your husband having an injection after his chemo to boost his white blood cells?
I can’t remember what it was called, pelgrez or something. If so, this drug can cause a lot of bone pain, especially in “long” bones like shins and thighs. The good news though is that it only lasts a few days and the drug does a brilliant job at helping the blood cells recover.
That was the only bone pain my husband had back then so if it’s something else, maybe worth speaking to your nurse?
Hope he’s doing well otherwise xx
Dear Ceibach
Sorry to hear you have painful shins. Side effect from this therapy can cause muscle aches and sometimes joint pains.
Do let your oncology team know about your symptoms as mostly they can manage these well and they do settle down once treatment stops.
