Carboplatin & Vinorelbine side effects?
Dear Ian_cee
We hope you hear from someone in the forum who has had experience being on Carboplatin and Vinorelbine.
Macmillan support provide some detailed information on the side effects:
macmillan.org.uk/informatio...
As you may know, everyone can be different in having side effects of any medication, they usually start within the first few weeks of having the treatment, these can be mild and well managed. However, any new or worsening symptom we would always advise to let the oncology team know or the lung cancer nurse specialist.
If there is anything you would like to discuss you can either email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200
All the best

Hi Ian
I had Cisplatin and Vinorelbine for my chemo before my two lung surgeries, then afterwards, as I was suffering neuropathy in my feet my oncologist gave me Carboplatin and Vinorelbine . With Cisplatin I felt quite sick, lost my hair, had the neuropathy in my feet and fingers, fatigue, brain fog and changes in taste. The Carboplatin was a lot gentler and I can only remember having the continued neuropathy ( I’m still suffering from this 18 months later) fatigue and brain fog.
Hi i had Carbo and Vinor. The latter awful. Sickness etc. This was in 2012. I disliked the Vinor side effects or the combination of the two, I asked to reduce the dose and not put in 100 so it went in as 80%.from what I remember which was better for me. This was removal of my bottom left lobe. I went onto Gemzar.
Best wishes
Hoggy
