Hello all
I hope you are coping okay with the current strange impact of corona virus. As a charity we are trying to adapt to offer support during this time when our face to face groups and Information Days have to be postponed.
Our Ask the Nurse service continues to operate by phone and email. You may not have your call answered by a nurse but one of the rest of the team who can help and pass on your query to the nurse on call. We are doing this to adapt as everyone is working remotely.
We are looking to set up live chat sessions on the forum and telephone group sessions.
Is this is something that you would find useful?
Are there days or times that you would like to have such sessions?
Are there topics you would like covered?
Would you like a 1-1 phone or email from the team?
And/ or a weekly or monthly bulletin?
Would you want to share your hints and tips on how you are coping with limited socal contact?
We will try and respond as much as possible. At the moment accessing clinical staff is not easy, given the other demands on their time. We hope we can act as a bridge and reduce some of the impact of isolation for those affected by lung cancer.
We will be posting updates on our website roycastle.org
Please do let me know what would be useful for you.We are here to help in any practical ways we can.
Meanwhile take care everyone,
best wishes from all at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
