Hello all.
Apparently their was a topic of conversation on Sky news the other morning. The subject was whether or not asbestos should be removed from thousands of schools up and down Britain. It was argued whilst asbestos was not disturbed it was of no harm and it would be to costly.l have Mesothelioma and l attended a mesothelioma awareness event and it was stated that 270 odd teachers had contracted the disease .I didn't catch the time frame.but to my mind it doesn't really matter.Mesothelioma is caused by just a few fibres of asbestos lodging in the linings of the lung and may not present itself for thirty to forty years later. How many children are likely to contract this disease in the future. Mesothelioma is a terminal disease.Caused by no fault of your own.Isn't it about time our children's health is made paramount. The Government whichever one built the schools so the government should rid all schools with asbestos one by one no matter what the cost or how long it takes
