As far as I know it means there is 1 tumour which is small as you can have T2 and T3 which means the tumour is bigger.

N2 means there are 2 infected lymph nodes, M0 means the cancer hasn’t metastasised (spread) to other parts of the body. Good luck 🍀

Hello Emkins,

T.N.M. is a system that Doctors use to describe the stag of your lung cancer,

T. stands for Tumour.

N. stands for Lymph Nodes.

M. stands for Metasties.

Paulparro has added a link to the canccer research UK website which explains the T.N.M. system very well.

If you wish to discuss anything you can call us on our Freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200

Kind regards
