My soulmate died yesterday early morning totally out of the blue. Massive pulmonary embolism most likely. I'm beyond exhausted and heartbroken
He's gone!: My soulmate died yesterday... - The Roy Castle Lu...
He's gone!
Devastating! Your dear husband must have been totally worn out with all he went through and his body couldn't take any more. I lie awake at night worrying about this happening to my husband, following his heart attack and blood clots.
The person I am now worried about, is you. The worst has happened and now you have to rest and recover. You said you weren't well yourself but you have been the strong core of your partnership so please gather his love and all your good memories around you. Do not be afraid to ask friends and family for help in looking after your shattered self.
You may not wish to continue on this forum and it is too early for me to ask you to keep in touch. Your experience of caring for your husband may well be a help for others. (By the way I'm the one with lung cancer and blood clots amongst other ailments and worry about my husband coping without me.)
I am so sorry to hear your sad news that your husband has died. This must be a very sad time for you and those close to you and your husband. Please accept our sincere condolences. If you feel you need to talk to someone please don't hesitate to call the nurse led helpline ;Freephone 0800 358 7200.
Kind regards,
All the team at the Roy Castle Helpline
