We've been to see moms oncologist today , she's halfway through her chemo and the results from her scan were positive in the sense that the cancer has reduced . Yay !!
But then we were told she now has a clot in the right lung ( same side as the cancer ) should we be worried ?

My mum also had clots in the lung, she was put on anticoagulant injections and that seemed to work!! She also developed them in the spleen! And most recently the kidneys! She is doing great at the moment but at the last appointment the consultant said she would more than likely be on treatment for life for the clots
This is great news about the cancer responding to the chemotherapy. A Blood clot in the lung (Pulmonary emobolism) can be treated with medication which thins the blood, can be either tablet or injection form along with regular blood tests.
