Pain after CT scan

Hi folks

My mum had a routine scan at 8am this morning. She has had three rounds of chemo and due her fourth and last next week.

She has pains in her chest and back since then...more so than normal.

Just wondered if anyone knew if this was a normal side effect of a CT scan?

Thank you in advance

Jo

Hi there Jo, I havent heard of anyone with those complaints through CT scans. However if your mum has a cancer nurse specialist ,they should be able to help. Otherwise phone the hospital and enquire. xx

Hello joanne1st,

ct scans are generally a quick and painless investigation, with little in the way of side effecfts, if your mum is experiencing chest and back pain it is best to seek medical advice, speak with either your lung cancer specialist nurse, Gp or phone NHS 111.

Kind regards
