You need to get re checked , it could be you cracked a rib, or may be just a chest infection.

Sometimes these tests dont always show everything up. Have a word with your G.P. or if your under a consultant check with them.

Dont just leave it as it is probably a chest infection just starting so treatment the sooner the better.

Please let us know how you get on. :) xx

Hi Angie,

If you are still coughing up blood and have a severe fever and chest pain following Chest X ray and CT scan you should see your GP again . You don't say if you have had any treatment recently for example, antibiotics. It might be a good idea to get a container from the GP receptionist and take a sample of your sputum for your GP to see especially if the sputum is blood stained.

Kind regards,

All the team at Roy Castle Helpline

Sounds like you have a upper respiratory tract infection.

You can contact your oncologist secretary so she can let your oncologist know.

My hubby just spent 3 weeks in hospital coughing up blood, he had upper respiratory infection.

Now has sore mouth due to the amount of antibiotics he has been on.

Now improving, coughing settled,

Hopefully home in next few days.
