Travel insurance

Hi I am carer for my best friend and we are looking at going on a cruise but are finding it very difficult to get travel insurance. Can anybody help please

You will find travel insurance information. What I would say is that if your friend is susceptible to infection then I would be wary of a cruise. There are various companies who will insure your friend but most will not cover any cancer. I have used JD insurance and taken out Swiss Assist when visiting Spain this year. I have also heard that MIA insurance will insure cancer patients.

Try InsureWith or it could be InsuranceWith. Also euro tunnel. Don't waste your time on any comparison sites as they won't do it as they only deal in standard generic answers. I had insurance through InsureWith for 5 nights in Dubai and it was very reasonable. It will depend what treatment you're having (if any) as to what they will and won't insure. You have to fill out a health questionnaire and they evaluate it

Hi...hope you find something. When we were trying to fly long haul, we contacted the companies listed on the Macmillans site. (they have a booklet you can download). Think about what you want to cover and only answer questions you are asked and don't lie...and really read the small print. No point in paying £100s or £1000s if it doesnt actually cover your situation. If you phone, InsureCancer was one that was recommended to us by a friend. We didn't realise it would take several weeks to actually quote us. I don't know if they are the only ones, but they actually contact your hospital doctor for medical assessment prior to quoting. We left it too late to get a quote and ended up not being able to travel in the end. All the best. Kx
