Hi everyone, just a bit of a weird question, has anyone suffered with itching and weird heat like spots growing on the side where their Cancer is. I have six clusters on my left hand side of the body which look like heat spots and itching. It may just be a freak coincidence but thought I would ask ππ xx

Weird Symptom
Hi Lainey,
Since my cancer I have had small red spots on my tummy and rh side like small blood blisters. They don't itch. I have also had an itch on my back same side which no amount of scratching helps, there is nothing to see but it has been there for several years. Are these connected to the cancer? Who knows?!
Tilstongal x π
Hi Tilstongal, mine are more like heat spots but have, what looks like a scab, in the middle. Going to see my Dr on Wednesday so will ask her what it is. The itching is like coming off of morphine, a weird thing. Will let you know if it is just a freak coincidence.

Could it be shingles? Most of us with cancer do have low immune systems and many developed this post chemo or surgery. My wife did after her lobectomy.
Best wishes
Peter.
Thanks Peter, not shingles, thankfully, as just at one side of the body and nowhere else.
Kind regards

My husband had something which sounds similar. He saw his GP and a dermatologist and they said it was folliculitis caused by the tumour. Some steroid cream cleared it up.
Hi, I had terrible itching and have had various rashes since having chemo/ radiotherapy. I was given gabapentin for peripheral neuropathy and the only thing these tablets have helped is the itching π
Hi Elaine, I developed spots as you described all over the front of my torso about 5 weeks ago which the doctors diagnosed folliculitis and given a 2 week course of penicillin. The spots are just starting to ease of now.
Rab
Hi Rab, glad your spots are easing off now. Don't mind the spots but the itching is horrendous. Hopefully this will clear up with steroid cream or penicillin. Filled a hot water bottle with ice, put a tea towel around the bottle and put it behind my back, bliss for a while.
Thanks for reply and hope you are doing well.
