Stereotactic procedure/Cyberknife

Hi

Has anyone had the above procedure to pinpoint a tumour with a small beam for under 8 mm tumours. Without being too technical I have been told there is a new procedure if you are suitable to have it done for very small possible cancers. Has anyone heard of this?

Thank you ever so much for this information.

My situation is that I do not want surgery on my other lung as that would reduce my lung capacity even further and being overweight does not help, but my surgeon who was sharpening his knives wanted to do this on a very small nodule that I have and where he is 95% sure it was a cancer of some sort. I am having 6 monthly monitoring and if there is any change in the size I will intend to go down the cyberknife route sorry Doc.
