saw thoracic consultant today who said when i had my original PET which lit up the turmour on right lung a smaller nodule was seen in left lung which did not light. He has suggested we wait until i have a CT scan in November - does this sound right as obv thought I was home and dry and now worried and anxious again. Advice anyone ?

Hi Sal62

I was also told I had a nodule showing on the other side of my lung and was worried although it was not showing any forms of cancer, but they called it a glitch. This means that it could be anything and it had not grown in size so they are just keeping a check on it with an annual scan etc. I was also told it could be that the radiologist took it to be something it wasn't, just like a glitch on the film but as it is best to be on the safe side a future scan is good and it will see if it has increased in size. Good luck and try not to worry too much.
