Hi there Ayah,

Do you mind if I ask if you or a loved one has been prescribed Iressa.?

Iressa or Gefitinib is licenced for a specific group of patients for whom it has been found to be effective, but is not suitable for everyone, and needs to be administered and monitored by a health professional.

Best wishes,

Beth, on behalf of the Information and Support team.

Hi, My understanding is that the nhs is not charged for the first three months treatment. In the fourth month a one-off charge of £13,500 is charged to the nhs. This covers the treatment for as long as it continues.

regards, Anne Carmel
