My 90

Day ct follow up scan showed 2.8 cm in my middle right area where u had my lung removed and obviously it’s a reoccurrence since it was 1.8 now 2 months later it grew, my question is so they radiate it or chemo or surgery??? I think the tumor board decides I think. Anyone know the usual way to treat such a small liaison?

Typically, they would radiate it. But chemo might be a good idea as well. This indicates that the tumor had shed cells and they were to small to be seen by CT or PET. Chemo is systemic and should get rid of any other cells floating around in there.

I agree chemo makes more sense

If it were me, I would do the radiation if possible, but I would also definitely go for chemo.

I would ask your clinician what your options are - there may be clinical trial, immunotherapy, radiotherapy/ablation or chemo dependent on the biological characteristics of the tumour. treatments now are more personalised so different agents can be better for some. good luck
