Immunotherapy do’s and dont’s

After last year’s immunotherapy debacle, my mom tried again yesterday and thankfully tolerated it much better. My question now is; what are your do’s and fonts while on immunotherapy? No side effects so far but she’s eating wisely. Can we go to a movie theatre? Her guide says to stay out of crowded places so we aren’t sure.

Also her pulse ox is lower after immunotherapy. Now on continuous oxygen. Has anyone else had that happen?

Thanks so much.

Hi I am also on immunotherapy and chemo ,initially I tend to get out and about whilst blood counts not too bad, at about day 6-7 I do a bit of crowd avoidance as advised and do this for a couple of weeks but the week before chemo I tend to start been more sociable again .To be honest if I am feeling very tired then I know my body is working hard fighting this and that so I go with it ,however I usually set a small task for myself daily which usually involves a short walk .This last cycle has been very hard as I feel very sleepy and not very motivated .If is also very important to keep your bowels moving ,as this brings lots of problems with it ,so five a day and more is really important .Wishing your Mum luck with good planning she will be fine but there are always a few stumbling blocks to encounter .Use hand gels if out and about Diane.
