Sclerotic lesions

Hi All,

So my mom (stage IV NSCLC w/brain Mets) has done really well on the chemo that she’s been on since May. She just had a Pet scan and her oncologist said the lung tumor is much less hot and that she had sclerotic lesions in her leg bone and a salivary gland. He’s doing a follow up Ct but seemed fairly pleased as he said IF the sclerotic lesions are Mets, they’re already responding well to the chemo so he thinks one more round of chemo and then a break. Does anyone know about these sclerotic lesions? I’ve found lots of conflicting info on the internet so I don’t know what to think.

Thanks in advance.
